Food Safety & Terms of Purchase

Our Standards

At Steward Hill Farm LLC, we pride ourselves on transparency and safety. By purchasing our eggs, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

  • Product Grading: Our eggs are hand-collected, washed, and packed at our farm in Westerlo, NY. They are sold as Ungraded and Mixed Size.

  • Temperature Control: We strictly maintain our eggs at a temperature of 45°F or below from the moment they are packed until they reach your delivery address.

  • Customer Responsibility (The Cooler Rule): To maintain the cold chain and food safety, we highly recommend leaving a cooler with an ice pack on your porch for Sunday deliveries if you will not be home.

    • Once the eggs are delivered to your provided address, Steward Hill Farm LLC is no longer responsible for temperature maintenance or quality degradation due to exposure to the elements.

  • Safe Handling: You agree to follow the USDA/FDA safe handling instructions: Keep eggs refrigerated, cook eggs until yolks are firm, and cook foods containing eggs thoroughly.

  • Delivery Policy: Local deliveries occur every Sunday afternoon. Orders placed after Friday at 11:59 PM will be scheduled for the following week’s Sunday delivery cycle.
