About Us

About Steward Hill Farm

Founded in 2025, Steward Hill Farm is located on 45 acres of pristine pasture and forest in Westerlo, New York. We aren't just a farm; we are a dedicated mission to bring high-quality, ethically raised food back to our community.

Our Roots and Growth

What started in early 2025 with a commitment to the land has quickly grown into a thriving agricultural operation. We are currently home to 800 layer chickens, producing 200 dozen eggs every week.

As our community’s demand for fresh, local food grows, so do we. We have finalized plans to expand our flock to 2,000 birds by 2027, allowing us to serve more families while maintaining our standards for animal welfare.

A Rainbow in Every Carton

Our hens lay a beautiful variety of natural colors:

The "11 AM Rule" ☀️

We follow a strict 11 AM release rule. By waiting until the morning nesting is done, we ensure our hens stay close to home during their peak laying hours, resulting in cleaner, fresher eggs. We then open their gates to 45 acres of lush pasture and forest, where they roam until dusk.

Experience the difference of honest farming.

Our brown eggs aren't just a kitchen staple; they are the result of a commitment to animal welfare. While most "free-range" store brands offer only limited outdoor access, our hens spend their entire lives under the Westerlo, NY sun, foraging for fresh grass, clover, and clover.

  • Vibrant Orange Yolks: Rich in Beta-Carotene and Omega-3s, our yolks are deep orange, never pale yellow.2

  • Sturdy, Thick Shells: A direct result of a diverse, mineral-rich diet and low-stress living.

  • Superior Texture: Fresher eggs mean firmer whites that hold their shape perfectly in the pan.

  • Nutrition: Pasture-raised eggs contain significantly more Vitamin D, Vitamin E, and Vitamin A than conventional store-bought eggs.
